Bhaskar

DJ, producer, and above all, an artist. Over the past years, Bhaskar has showcased why he plays a pivotal role in the evolution of electronic music in Brazil. Born to the acclaimed DJs Swarup and Ekanta, Bhaskar took to the stage from a young age, performing across various national shows and soon internationally in multiple countries. The USA, Australia, and Thailand are some strongholds of Bhaskar’s fanbase worldwide.

 

With melodic and profound influences, his music doesn’t adhere to the conventional. His distinct musical personality can be easily pinpointed, illustrating a rare fusion of the futuristic elements of Tech House with the cleaner and more organic sounds of Techno and Deep House. Speaking of his releases, Bhaskar has had significant releases like “Infinity” (350 million plays), “Fuego” (270 million plays), “Tina” (Top 5 Tech House 2023) – a collaboration with Vintage Culture and Meca, and tracks like “Rumours” and “Banzai” that secured high positions on Beatport (Top 4 Progressive House and Top 15 Melodic Techno and House, respectively).

The DJ has made a mark in his career, gracing stages like Lollapalooza, Rock in Rio, EDC México, and touring globally alongside prominent names from both the international and national scenes. In 2020, he embarked on the “Follow The Sun” project, recording performances across various Brazilian locations at sunrise, blending electronic music with breathtaking landscapes, covering regions like Amazonas, Tocantins, Goiás, Rio Grande do Norte, and other states. This initiative granted him significant prominence during the pandemic period. Invited to perform at Tomorrowland Belgium and Burning Man in 2023, Bhaskar is undoubtedly experiencing a peak in his career trajectory.

Beyond his technical prowess, Bhaskar throughout his career has collaborated with notable names in the music industry, including Tomorrowland’s resident Yves V, Moguai, Vintage Culture, Dubdogz, Jaded, Wankelmut, Lucas Estrada, Anitta, and his twin brother Alok.

Besides being a DJ and producer, Bhaskar is also one of the main producers and curators of the Universo Paralello Festival and a Partner at the CONTROVERSIA label, where he spearheads talent research and development.
