Kingdom welcomes BLACK V NECK back to Austin!
There’s no better shirt for a DJ than a plainblack tee, which makes Ian & Julian the embodiment of dance music as they are Black V Neck. Sown together in 2017 the boys have created there unique sound of House Music which blends there Latin Influences with their love for raunchy House beats.
Shiba San discovered the duo and signed their first big release on his label Basement Leak. Shortly after, they appeared on Claude VonStroke’s radar due to their quality of production and creativity, which led to the release of the Mouth Music EP on DIRTYBIRD. ‘Sex, Drugs, Alcohol’ has since collected well over 40 million streams and is played from Clubs to Tik Toks around the world.
Black V Neck tracks have made their way into festival performances, club sets, and radio shows worldwide. Their music has continuous support from underground artists such as Gordo, Chris Lake, Marco Corolla, to more global acts such as Afrojack, Diplo, Skrillex, Carl Cox and DJ Snake.
2020 did not slow the boys down; They signed their first Defected release, remixing John Summit’s breakout summer hit ‘Deep End’, which has become their first track to break through Beatport’s Top 10 Overall. They followed up with collaborations with dutch DJ legend Afrojack which led to their first #1 on USA Dance radio stations with their single ‘Day n Night.’
Ian and Julian continue to work diligently, having recently released records on Insomniac, Repopulate Mars, Confession, and OWSLA. Black V Neck has remixed tracks from David Guetta, Bob Sinclar, Claptone, Green Velvet, and Walker & Royce with more to come. The boys have also formed their own independent label in 2022 called Retail Records signing many up n coming acts.
Their productions & DJ skills have led them to play some of the largest festivals & Clubs in the world such as EDC Vegas & Orlando, Space Miami, Coachella, MDL Beast Festival, Ultra Music Festival, and many more.
